Bling N Sopa – Wafeduja (from Garifuna Mixtape vol 1 2010)
Squeezing one more version of Hold Yuh before the year is out, this time from Belizean artists Bling N Sopa, sung in their native tongue. Whether on NYC radio or Youtube, I’ve probably heard those keys a thousand times in 2010, and I’m still not sick of them. My favorite experience with the riddim was requesting it at a bar, and not only hearing it once, but about 5 times voiced by Gyptian, Lady Saw, Zionomi, and a few others. There’s got to be over 100 versions floating around, and this one is definitely a favorite.
