I just can’t seem to be able to play this one out, even after listening to it nearly everyday since last winter. Dubbel Dutch channeled about ten years of London’s dance music evolution and proves that funky house can actually be well, funky. Beyonce gets gated and the bass is so low you can’t even listen to it on laptop speakers (not that I recommend listening to anything that way). As much an homage as it is a step forward, truly a perfect track from one of America’s best producers that I’m looking forward to holding in my hands when it gets materialized on black plastic. Until then, buy it on zeros and ones even if you don’t like paying for music. I can’t recommend this enough, and I know I’m not the only one.
