Gucci Mane – Wasted (DJ Searcy Ft Lauderdale Fast Edit)

DJ Searcy – Untitled Track

A few weeks ago Noz tipped me off to the anti-Screw happening down in South Florida right now. Based on only a bit of Youtube proof I wasn’t sure if this was just an internet thing or actually happening in real life. Though sure enough, DJs are making sped-up edits of hip-hop tracks in the clubs at BPMs common to Miami bass, Ft Lauderdale-based Searcy being one of them. He was nice enough to share some work with us, including one of his own productions and an edit of Wasted that’s even more likely to make party-goers blackout and wake up in their own vomit. We’re just suckers for extreme tempos around here.

Hyperactive people have always wanted to get hype and laid back people have always wanted to chill. It is not a war of opposing forces.

“… make party-goers blackout and wake up in their own vomit.” very accurate description :-)

ha, wasn’t crazy about that original gucci track (though the video was pretty funny), but that remix is great.

  4. Really hoping this anti-Screw bizness clocks in at double-time for Screw tracks for at truly screwed up mix.

its like 110, I guess most screw tracks are around 50-70 so it should work out!

BTW they also screw/speed up things in the same mixes too
